cracked exhaust manifold?

Cracked exhaust manifold...how bad is that? It's on a '94 jeep cherokee, i'm gonna go see the car later on today. I've seen that a new one would be around $100. I just don't know any more about it than that.

Well, you shouldn't drive it like that, unless you like monoxide poisoning; But it's not really indicative of any particular failure.

Bad motor mounts can cause this also.

I cracked mine in my neon cause of bad motor mounts.

Good thing it was only like 50 dollars for a header off egay.

simple problem, simple fix... just use it to your advantage to talk the price down as it is indeed a problem with the vehicle

I've been told it's common on jeeps. The part doesn't seem to be too expensive, just not sure how difficult the labor will be.
