Cracked basket, fixable?

sorry for blurry phone pic...but its a crack that goes all the way through that part, and rattles pretty bad when it's playing at high volumes, I can't move it with my hands because of how tight it is still, but apparently the resonance is enough to get it moving

what should I do about it? It's an RE SX 15 btw

 
I can't see the pic, but I'd try JB weld or find a welder. Do those have painted baskets? I've never used JB weld before, but you might have to sand the basket to metal...idk just something to check on.

I think with high power handling subs, cast baskets are used to avoid "rippling" the basket at resonance frequencies, which can cause misalignment...
