Covering bused back window- Against the law?

The BACK glass in my 1990 Chevy Blazer was busted in (I can only assume it was an attempt to steal my 2 15" kicker L7s and kicker 1500.1 that I had in at the time)...Anyway, this car is worth squat to me. I'm planning on selling it in November for $500. It is a junker, in bad shape. And really not worth the price It'd be to put in new glass.

So, I duct taped that sh*t. The whole back glass. I'm wondering if its ok to drive around like that? Or will I get pulled over? I think maybe I would since a cop wouldn't be able to see in my car and what not.

What about other coverings? Like...I dunno..a layer of suran wrap? Or something else?

Any tips would be appreciated. I gotta make this ragged piece last till november and still get me to campus and back. (its only like a 6 mile drive)

By the way: I live in Mississippi

i think you can do that since people are allowed to spray paint the windows. you dont legally have to see out of it

Then what's witht he laws on how tinted the window can be?

I thought it was because the cop has to be able to see into the window. Like to see if you have your seatbelt on, or know if your smokin crack. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

id say its probably in line with your states tint laws. our tint laws used to state that they police officer had to be able to see into the vehicle from all sides and you couldnt tint any darker than 35 percent, now however they have changed that and you can limo tint all rear windows and 40 percent on front side windows.

so basically whatever your states laws are.

I'm mn its 50 percent on all windows. suvs are exempt because most come with tinted rear glass. some cargo vans don't come with back or side windows so I don't see how they could legally sell a vehicle that you can't see into from the back if its a strict law. but then again maybe its exempt if it was made that was so I dunno. My guess is the cops would pull ya over for it anyway, never been to mississippi but it would be like that around here (MN)

idk i had 5% on top os i think 20-35% and you could see in my back window and i never got pulled over. also i've seen a few cars around here that do it and get away with it.
I'm not really talking about tint. I'm talking about duct taping a hole, completely, where my back window used to be.

the tint laws only apply to the front windows your back windows can be limo tint if you want at least thats how it is donw here idk if it might be different up there.

check your state/local law

in texas you can have a wall so being able to see out of the back glass doesnt apply

you have to have atleast 2 mirrors

so the two on the side is enough

but check with your state
