Could You do a quick check for me?

How are you going to fit those ports in a box that size?

Also, pics of the Grand Cherokee install? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Ha ha ha! Yea, I'm wondering that myself. I'm pretty sure I'm going to use 4" PVC for the ports, so 90's and 45's will come into play, and it's most likely going to look like a snake inside the box with ports runing every-which-a-way.

Are those dimensions correct? Will using 4 4" ports at 28.72" in a 4.18 cuft. box give me 32 hz? I sure as hell hope so.

BTW, pics for sure!!!! I plan on doing a wrap-around type thing with the box in the middle and the amps on the sides. I'm doing all of this and still plan on keeping the ability to use the spare, which is under a cover/lid in the cargo area. Should be interesting to say the least!

Here's what I have:

4.18ft^3 (5.118ft^3 NET)

@32

4 - 4" PVC -> 28.58" long each.

I could play around with some box sizes (external dimensions). IIRC, in the back of the WJ, you can go 41" wide and 16.5" tall and be even with the backseat.

Thanks! Just what I wanted to know. My box is going to be very interesting looking. Its going to be 40" wide (sit between the wheel wells) and going to extend over the wheel wells on the top half of the box. Its hard to explain, But I will be sure to post pics of the process.

Are you a member of Jeeps Unimited? I think I've seen ur pic on there once or twice.

I'm over there every once in a while. I'm a moderator on JeepForum, so that take most of my time.

JeepForum is a little more grown-up, IMO, But doesn't have as many members as JU. I think we are the 2nd largest Jeep website though.

Ok, I was looking at a box that I have made now, which is very similar in size, and I'm not 100% sure I can fit the 4 4" ports in there. So, do yall think I could get away with 3 4" ports at 20.81" long? I know I'm getting close to the port noise territory, but would it be a toss up or would there def be port noise? What about 1 6" port 13.41" long? Not enough port area?

I think you'll be fine. You don't have to worry about port noise as much with aero's.

I'll be building a box for 2 12's soon, and I'll just be using 2 4" aero's. I'm not worried about any thing.

What if you only use two aeros and install them on both sides where the box goes over the wheel wells....that would look pimp....you could put a third i guess on top between the subs....
