How are those power line comps? Out of curiosity.
If I upgraded from my SLC, it would probably be to them.
They are ****ing amazing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif It's like having a pair of subwoofers in my front doors... but they play up to 2khz+ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. They are crossed over at 63hz/24db and running bridged on my 4150 which provides 2x~340w @ 4ohm. I've only got a single ported 10, and these get way louder than it does, while staying completely clear. The tweeters get loud enough that they tickle your hands if you hold them in front of them up to 4-5 inches away from the tweet itself...and the woofers move so much that your pants shake with the midbass. They get loud enough to be uncomfortable to listen to without any of the usually associated harshness/imbalance...they basically satiated every need i had for my front stage all by themselves. On the downside, you need just under 4 inches (96mm) of mounting depth for the beast woofers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I accomplished this in my camry by adding 1.25 inch deep MDF rings between the door and the speakers...but then was unable to attach my door panels due to the speakers hitting the 'grill' part of the door panel. Holes must be cut in the door panels to allow them back on over the speakers. They barely had enough clearance with the dash - likely, literally 2mm space between the edge of the woofer and the dashboard.
I upgraded from a set of Germaniums, which are the line just above the SLC's. The Power Line CS compared to the Germaniums is like comparing the Germaniums to my stock 6.5's... they're in a totally different class.
here's a couple pictures of the woofers and tweeters next to eachother - that black tweeter is a cal-25 like yours...the silver is the cal-27 from the power line cs. The power line CS woofer is a 6.9 inch woofer rather than a 6.5, also...
and one of the MDF rings in place, pre-deadening... I had to move the mdf ring slightly back/off-center of the hole in the door to get the 2-3mm of clearance with the dashboard i have now. Didn't want to cut the door panel itself...
