I thought about it once. Got a couple of applications, one for juvy the other for adults, both had a particular requirement: be physically able to defend yourself when outnumbered as much as 10-20 to one. You have to take into account that you are there foe one shift trying to insure yours and there security but they have 24hrs to scheme against you and fellow inmates. It is one of those jobs that will always!!! have a need though. Good luck if you are thinking on joining up. Can deff be challenging and keep you on your toes.

im doing my civil service test tomorrow. im only 19, but i read up on it and i can take it. i just cant actually be a co till i turn 21.

You dont have to be that tough. I know a few and not all of them are bad *****. In fact none of them i would consider a bad asz. You definatly need to keep in your toes though.
