Correct way to package an amp

1. Take a box that is 2-4 inches larger than dimensions of the amp

2. fill bottom with foam peanuts

3. take amp and wrap it in 2 layers of bubble wrap

4.place on box and cover with peanuts.

5. any bare spaces need newspaper shreds as a last resort

This is for Verlander, he has lots of posts but shipping trouble:cool:

I'm not fond of foam peanuts.
IMO, bunched up packed paper works better.

Items can shift around peanuts.
X 2. Nothing wrong with using newspaper/magazines, as long as its done right. You can ask any of my refs and they will tell you my stuff could go through a tornado and be fine.

Actually expanding foam is the only way to go. You should wrap in anti-static bubble wrap. Put a medium sized bag of expanding foam on the bottom, place amp in, make sure it is secure, then apply an oversized bag to the top. Cover the foam while it is expanding with the top of the box. Use kraft (reinforced) tape on both sides. Double side-wall boxes.
