Correct Voice Coils?

I'm looking to get this 12" sub: http://www.tcsounds.com/tc1000.htm

and pair it with this amp: http://www.mcintoshlabs.com/data/manuals/mcc404Mom01.pdf

What I plan to do is run a set of comps using 2 channels and use the 3rd & 4th channel for the sub; refer to page 11 of the Mcintosh manual for this setup.

I believe that I would need the Dual 4 ohm voice coil sub. Can someone confirm this for me before I buy?

on page 18 it says

"Power Output Bridged - 400 watts into 4 ohm lads is the minimum sine wave continuous average output power.

so you'd need a dual 2 ohm sub wired in series to make a 4 ohm load, or simply a 4 ohm single coil sub.

Thanks for the heads up. This stuff doesn't make sense to me...yet.
