that sums it up very well. its always nice to have "the leader of the free world" in your back pocket as a friend. Gates is also making himself look even worse by going on national television to talk about it. racisim exists sure but in this case it was 100% Gates himself that brought and made it about race.

"disorderly conduct" is in the eye of the beholder. You can say "fucker" in front of a cop and it could be concluded as disorderly conduct.
Id be pretty pissed off if I lived where homie lived and a cop was hassln' me. To me, that would be like a cop pulling up in your drive way, comming into your garage and trying to give you a ticket for illegal tint.

I would be more pissed if a cop following up on a possible B&E call didn't ask for my ID.

I like how everyone is turning on Gates now that we find the white guy is of high moral character. Even other blacks (including the black guy that was there) thinks Gates deserved to be arrested. This is gonna be an enjoyable fiasco.

to make it worse there was an article this morning with Obama talking about how surprised he is that his comment has drawn so much attention. maybe hes even more of an idiot than we think. after all he is the one that had a news conference and had the serious lapse in judgement by saying what he did. the man is an idiot.

Well, the media is to blame as well. The people here who want attention know they will get it. And then Obama plays dumb when it blows up. Um, if our media dedicates an interview to talk about what kind of jeans you wear to a baseball game (which in his defense were perfectly fine for any man to wear so WTF is the big deal?) what makes you think they're not going to jump all over you making a comment about "stupid" police arresting your friend? Newsflash: Mr. President you are in fact half black; when yor black friends get arrested and you call the police stupid, the media is going to notice. Bro. Wow. Fact is it is easy to see that Mr. Gates has an issue with white people, and in this case a white officer, did the officer ahve to arrest the "I've got a chip on my shoulder" owner no, he could have just walked away. Ah but so too could have "whoa is me I am a black man in America" both choose to do what htey did and now becasu eof that we have to listen all the media go on and on.

Mr. Gates acted like an *** and was arrested, Mr gates while we all understand a frustration of a door jammed and then police coming to your door and home, you did not have to be such an ***. This had nothing to do with your skin color and had to do with a police call made for security on a home. You made it a racial issue by your own verbal diatribes and ridiculous actions, and the racial issue is about the officers skin color not yours, as your the one who has a skin color issue. You do seem like a nice enough man but for pete sake get over your self.

Officer Crowley, while you were indeed doing your job, and in dealing with an obvious frustrated *** of a person, was it really really necessary to arrest him? His verbal diatribes were just that, sometimes even dedicated police officers need to just know when to leave and walk away from jackasses.

Now can you both go away please, and news media can you all shut up about it. It is a minor incident no one got beat or sent to the hospital and hurt feelings happen everyday.

there would be even more of an outrage if police didnt repond or question him. just picture this

cops called about possible break in.

they dont bother responding to the call.

later the find out a homeowner was robbed and murdered at the call they didnt respond to.

 

that would be far worse than asking for proof that you live there or id showing who you are.

gates was wrong from the start but since hes "special" and hes black he feels like he deserves preferential treatment or reperations for whatever he thinks he deseves them for. and as always sharpton made things worse. then throw in obama that just had to get his .02 in the mix.

I wouldn't recognize him if he was my neighbor. I wouldn't recognize my neighbor if I saw him in the grocery store. As a matter of fact, the house across the street from me burned to the ground and the firemen wanted to know how many people lived there as there could be someone trapped...I had no idea who or how many people lived there.

All I know is I have a black male neighbor and a white couple neighbor....People across the street, I have no clue.
