Ok, so the cop gets a report of a break-in, so he responds. Unbeknownst to him, it is the resident of the house trying to get in. He knows nothing about who lives in the house.
He responds because he was close, and the dude refuses to come out because he's a black guy and the cop is white, so its automatically profiling.

The cop is about to leave, but the professor continues to heckle him until the cop arrests him, in view of onlookers and other cops (including black cops).

The professor paints the cop as a racist. Funny that the man is a professor in African American studies. Agenda anyone?

Obama calls him stupid.

Turns out that cop is a teacher in his police department who teaches other cops how not to profile.

Long story short, the only ones who acted stupidly were Barack and the professor.

if i were the cop i would be sure to take witnesses with me when i met with obama and gates at the white house. theres no way i would trust being there without having someone with me. what better place to set him up for disaster.

In the first place, what we now know is that Gates was not arrested sipping tea sitting on his sofa legally in his house. He followed the police out of the house screaming at them. How else would neighbors know he was belligerent? That's when he was arrested. He wasn't sitting on a couch sipping tea daintily. He was screaming at the cop there to help protect his property.The Gates' house had a history of having been broken into. This is why the neighbor called. There are a lot of break-ins in this neighborhood recently. In fact, there was damage done to Gates' door. Gates and Obama are the racists as far as I can tell....

it's called disturbing the peace, or verbal assault. no matter what your age what your color. a cop has rights just like any other American.

This is real easy do what the cop tells you(With in reason) And if you dont think it was fair or just go to the commanding officer and make a complaint or take it to court. Just like anything else you will be given the respect you give.

maybe we will be lucky enough to read about you sometime being beat by black cops that cant stand you making the black race look like total trash. there are a lot of good black people but you are in no way one of them. you are a parasite and a plague on society. i dont wish anything bad on anyone but for you ill make an exception.

The Commander in Chief is not in a local police unit's chain of command...unless the police are some how linked to the military. I would think the police is a state/local institution, not a federal one.

I wonder if his theory about the current situation in Iran is, "they're stupid."
