I have one in my 06 Tacoma...after the 3rd one from Bel falsing I finally gave up and accepted it...I have the BEL Vector 995 I have the hardwire in the Tacoma...but I've tried it in some of my other vehicles also with the cigarette plug just to make sure it wasn't something electrical in the Tacoma.....It falses in all

You're absolutely correct in one respect - the X50 is an Escort product.

Beltronics' top dog until the release of the STi Driver model, was the Pro RX65.

Guess what the Bel RX65 Pro and the Passport X50 have in common?!?

EVERYTHING (excepting the case)

Bel and Escort are the same company ever since Cincinnati Microwave bought out Beltronics.

The internals on the RX65 and the X50 are identical.

Just the casing and the placement of the buttons are a bit different - plus the X50, obviously, is available with a blue display.

I own the Bel RX65 Pro, yne.

After seeing a few different topics in various places about the Bels and the Escorts being the product of the same company I did a little research for myself. And it was 100% true - Cincinnati Microwave bought out (well - controlling stock percentage in at any rate) Beltronics a few years ago.

oh dude, i dont speed. i cant afford the tickets. hell i even wear my seatbelt now. the only reason i have the radar detector is cause my friend gave it to me (before he learned its a $350 detector). i was actually thinking about selling it.....any offers?
