cops and tattoos/piercings

Listen man, if you want to get a tattoo (or tattoos), just get them in an area where they're not visible when you're wearing shorts and a t-shirt. I know you wanna show off your tats, but you also want to get a job. Many employers don't allow visible tats. It just depends on what you want to go into. But, just know that having visible tats will severely limit your ability to gain employment in many fields.

Never kept me from getting a job. Im curious of any of you have friends that are cops and have tattoos and piercings.
i want to get a few more piercings on my face and some tattoos, but i hope to some day become a cop.

do any of you know specific rules of peircings and tattoos for cops? ive always heard no visable tattoos while wearing a short sleeved shirt, and no piercings on duty. do most departments get fussy about piercing holes (not gauges, just holes)

no piercings for uniformed cops but tattoos are ok on arms but not neck or face. atleast with Florida state police, metro dade and miami police.
