Hey guys, its been about 4 months since i've been on, stupid military training.

Anyway, i'm back. I got to pokin around on prices again and saw that the AQ HDC3 10" with copper coils is 199 now! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

But then i saw that the aluminum coils were 310.

Is it worth the extra 120 bux to have the aluminum coils? I'll probably be splitting an AQ3500D between a pair of 10's.

i talked to one of the aq guys and he said u can run about 2400 on the 12" HDC3 and the aluminum can take like 2500 to 3500. but on the tens i'd say 2000. maybe a lil more. that should be fine with 1750 to each just set ur gains right an dont clip the hell outta the amp

just buy the copper coils...unless you wanna burp it only.

if you fry the copper coils and think you wanna try the aluminum coils its less money that way(unless you send the sub in for recone)

Hello.I prefer copper lines in the coil because if you have a refrigerant leak that can be accessed you can weld it. If you have this problem with aluminum you will not be as likely to repair it. I feel copper is the tried and true method in terms of heat transfer

and its degree of corrosion resistance.
