those are party beers. if you want to sit and have a beer and ENJOY it, look into some of what jim posted, and look in the other beer thread at my collection of beers i've tried.

(sorry jim, not a fan of "candy" or "berry" beers)

I haven't had any of those that Jim posted. I like more micro brews. Some of the best are all the stuff at the local microbrewery, the Keweenaw Brewing Company, some from Bell's Beer, the Dragon's Milk from New Holland Brewing Company some from Old Boys Brewhouse and the Edmund Fitzgerald Porter from the Great Lakes Brewing Company. Lots of great beers in those listed.

What I love about the Keweenaw Brewing Company is that it is only a brewery, no food, nothing but the beer, and it's only $2.50 a pint always.

i too enjoy a beer alone, but a lot of beers enhance the flavors. you have to know what beer will go with what though.

but i mostly drink w/o food. because i don't eat a lot.

It looks good. There was one at the KBC called Single Track Stout a couple of weeks ago, that stuff was awesome, I usually get a variety of beer when I go, but instead if that I got 3 of the stouts and 1 amber, and I LOVE their amber.

well, if i plan to drink for a while (more than a few) i go with a lighter beer. but if i plan to just have one or two (a few) i'll go for a darker. i tried a "black and tan" with that stout, and their blonde and it didnt come out so good.
