okay, you guys solved my problem last night so heres another. I have been reading bout box building for subs and found the golden ratio formula. i have notice whenever i enter the cubic dimensions it always makes the height the longest length. are these measurement interchangable?? mine for a 15" sub

AW1500N are as follows: depth #1 6.5" depth #2 16.5 " (x) height 29" (X) width 18". do these sound right for 3.35 cubic feet box? thanks again you guys are life savers

The "golden ratio" only matters when you are building woofer boxes, not *sub* woofer boxes. The idea behind the ratio is to minimize standing waves at the higher frequencies that the woofer will be playing. At subbass freqs, you would need an enclosure the size of your living room to get a standing wave.

okay cool that makes sense so dont worry about the golden ratio. somebody said 3.25 cubes for a 15" sub is too much.?? from what i have read with sealed lager is boomier?? max size for a sealed for this sub is 3.5 cubes? anyone?

are you sure i have the maual and it tell me specs and size for the sealed enclosure... how hard is it to build a ported enclosure. this will be the first, have good tool and father in law will make accurate cuts for me..?
