here in CT min wage is 7.65

I made 8.50

depends where you go though and what your position is

a kid i know that works with lumber makes 11 an hour

my brother used to be a construction worker. He made $11-$12 and hour with minimun wage around here being 6.15 an hour

If you like hard physical labor, long hours, and normally bad work conditions, go for it.

depends on what trade. it takes alot of hard work to work up, but if you aren't afraid of hard work, it pays fairly good. some of it is seasonal (roofing, concrete). i stopped hanging drywall and got a job as maintenance. we plow snow in the winter and get pretty good bonuses for putting in 80 + per week. i started at 13/hr. and have gotten 1000 dollars worth of bonuses. for an ex-con without any college, construction and maintenance have been as good as i've found.

it isn't bad work conditions. if you dress right for the weather, it's easy.

If you are working for min wage as a construction worker you are a complete dumbass. I am an electrician, and I believe is probably the easiest job you can get and unless you are completely green I would not start less than 10. Again, it depends on the state you are working, I am talking about AL. In AL it doesnt matter WTF experience you have,,

i guess. i kinda like working outside. i'm about half inside, half outside on route maintenance. it's not for everyone.

I've seen your pic. They will eat you up in the construction business. I'm not saying you couldnt do the job, but they will put you through hell. If you prove yourself though you will get mad respect.
