Confused

Most amplifiers won't have a crossover that goes high enough for tweeters. You'd need one that as an "x10" multiplier option to increase the HPF frequency. It's easier to set up the crossovers for a 3-way tweeter/mid/subwoofer system on an active capable head unit than to do it with amplifier crossovers only. You'd also usually have the benefit of time alignment and a good equalizer with an active head unit.

Use a good pair of passive crossovers and call it a day. Right now I think an active setup would be over your skill level.
