Confused about my Altenator

Ok, as my sig says, Tsunami GXA 1000D(Coming Soon)

I've had folks tell me that my 105a Alt. should be fine with this amp.

I went to a Alte website and their calculator said that my car with that amp will require 205amps.

I can get a 180amp alt for $189.

I can get a Batcap 300 for $169.

Which would be better?

Will the 105a Alt hold up with this amp running @ 1-ohm?

I think a 100A alt wouldn't be much of a problem, so long as you don't blast it for legthy periods. But the thing is, it's not going to be the only thing that will draw current. Your car's electrical system, other amps would also need some current.

If I were to choose between a HO alt and a batcap, I'd say alt. Even if it was batcap 400, I'd still go for 180A.

TO me, batcap's just another cap, but with longer discharge. 300A for 8 secs, right? Well,the alt's gonne have to take over once that energy is drained.

It will be the only amp until maybe later this year.

Not trying to spend the money if I don't have to. Anyone one know if I'll be ok. Oh, my car is fully loaded.

I still say alt's the first thing to be upgraded. Batts come second (batcaps included) and caps, last, if not skipped.

Anyway, about the tsunami's, do you have a website addy I can check their stuff out on?

Install everything first. If there's no dimmage, everything runs fine, then don't worry about it. No need to replace something before you know it's not good enough.
