ok so i have to decide weather i want 2 10" se's ported with about 1.3 cubes each or 2 12" se's sealed with about 1.5 cubes each. and both would be powerd with a hifonics Z1000D.1 most likely. and so wich would be louder? all im lookin for is SPL.

the tens will be louder, no doubt. i dont feel like doing much explaining, but trust me on this one.

Get the 12's the tens will sound like one vibration rather than actual musical sound. The tens will be loud, but I don't like ported sound.

bassboomer asked which will be louder and that would be the tens. they will sound great in a well constructed box. there really is no comparison as far a spl. i have never heard the se's, but from what i have heard they are geared more for spl and they get loud in ported enclosures. this is a no brainer. no offense josh.

ported can sound just as good / better than sealed... you probably haven't heard a 3rd order done correctly...
