cone area and power adding spl question

Pair of 15's powered right is the best option I'm sure. I like the look of those wolframs. maybe a couple of SA 15's on 2kish?
yeah maybe more power on wolframs they heavy cones.. price is right on them forsure.. look at fu 1250, sq hdc3 are nice for sale price and 2200.2 is $369

Wolframs look pretty good, heavy cones? look like nice heavy coils. Ill need 3-4k for those for sure. Just dont have complete specs listed. I'd like to play around modeling them first.I know SA 15 can handle alot more than specified. ok. thanks. no unicorn audio enviroment here so looks like 4-5 db realistically after all huh?

Wolfram is pre order for subs and will not be released till early next year. Look good but for 2k two sa 15s would get down. Once again though what are your goals? Just flat out loud? Loud and decent range? More musical vs spl? Sq? I had some e12s that were getting down on a cab 1600. Another option for 200$.

I would say 3-4 if you're lucky

yeah 2 15's in just a good ported box with more power should give u 3+ db anyway.. heavy cones i mean mms is high.. look at ssa gcons and icons too if they in stock (more $ though)

I've read that doubling cone area is good for around 5-6 db gain. And doubling power is good for around 3 db's. How does that work when doubling cone area and power?. is it true that a 7-9 db gain is possible?
thats called the fancy la la land world. Real world SPL is plagued by vehicle limitations via flexing panels, resonance, 1/4 wave length distances. On the sub, enclosure and power side you have box rise, efficiency, compression, thermal compression to deal with as well. Your so called 9 db gain in actually could only be a 2-3 db gain at best. unless you strike gold then maybe one or more dbs...

After 150 db will be an uphill struggle for every db/tenth of a db. After 155 its even worse. 158 to 160 is a real life horrible struggle to overcome and anything after 160 is even worse than that.
