Concept amp w/ L7

just wondering a friend of mine has a concept 800 which gives 800 watts @ 1 ohm and he was wondering if this amp would slam hard a kicker 15L7 in a ported box . He wants to get a 15 for his CRX and they are recommending him this sub so what do you guys think

I've never had a D class Concept amp in my car, but some of my friends have them, and they are loud! They've got 18 db bass boost, too. I've got a Concept CC-754 powering my component speakers. In the last six months its blown a pair of Polk DX mids and a pair of MB Quart mids, and that was with a 600 HZ 12 db/octave highpass crossover! So they certainly seem to put out the power. I can tell you that the CC-754 is way loader than the Rockford Punch Power 600.4 that I was using before. That 800 watt amp should really slam the L7. Just make you've got a solid electrical system, Use at least 4 gauge cable, and Concept amps seem to need a really good ground, or they sound like s**t, so be careful with the ground. If he really wants it to hit hard he should go with 1000watts for that L715. Is it the SPL ported box? (6.0cu.ft)

Yeah send 1000watts to it and you'll be in business.
