okay my computer is acting funny and after i play a game it shuts down and gives me the blue screen of death. what operating system are you running? any programs besides the game ?

Ok, couple of things. Gotta know which OS you're using (Win98, Win2K, WinXP), what game (UT2004, Call of Duty, DOOM 2), and if you have ANY knowledge at all about drivers or software updates.

playing games on the computer is a ******* nightmare

what they SHOULD do, is sell a complete gaming card, that just plugs into a pci-express slot, rather than there being 5,000,000,000 video cards and 10,000,000 sound cards, that are all incompatible and this and that

there should just be different 'tiers' of gaming, like GAME CARD 1.0, and all the manufacturers have to make their cards "game card 1.0 compliant" then games will actually work, and developers will be able to get the pc versions out just as fast as console games.

In fact, just screw it. $500 video cards FTL. I've never played a single video game that was worth $500 to play.

Just go outside or take a nap or something.

i am running windows xp and i have no spyware or viruses and no new software that could cause it i am so very confused im assuming its a bad patch or something because i can play halo fine all day but when i pop in red alert 2 yuri's revenge my comp starts messing up

Drivers all updated? Direct X ver.? windows updated? there's alot of things involved with computer problems, which is why I hate building them. That is also the reason why computer repair guys get paid like $40+ an hour.
