Computer power supply wire diagram

I planned to hook up a car amp to my room with this power supply, I just cant figure out which wire on this thing is 12 volts. Does anyone have a link to a page that has a diagram to the plugs on the wires coming from the supply?

Get noah or other Automotiveforums.com member to search over there and find the thread I created with a step by step tutorial. Pictures and all. The Yellow is 12v + and the black the ground. Grounded to a ground on the supply?

There are 3 wire bundles coming out of the supply. One has 1 plastic connecter that was plugged into what I think was the motherboard, it was also a real bastard to get unplugged, it had a P1 printed on it.

The next wire bundle has 3 plastic connecters that im not sure what they go to. One has P3 printed on it, the others had P7 and P4 printed on them.

The last one has two plastic coneecters that have P5 and P6 printed on them.

Ill have pics of it in a minute.

Is it the yellow and black one in the wire bundle in the third pick? And theres like 10 black wires? Which one do I use? I also plugged the supply in and the fan didnt turn on, was it not on or was it not hot enough?

if your power supply does not have its own turn on switch (alot of new ones don't) then this is going to be dificult for you

here is how mine is wired when I test... the thick black cable runs to a switch that you can't see because it is under the rca cables

I only test amps like this to see if they will turn on and if there is any sound I never use it to power and speakers at high volumes because computer power supplies do not offer enough power to run most amps
