run a linux live cd, you could probably remove the program itself if you were so inclined.

If its date activated, you can log onto the bios and change the date back a few days.

There are a lot of ways to get around it.

Normally I'd help... but I feel bad for the business so I'm inclined not to help. GL, though.

Here's a hint, if it IS a BIOS lock, you can flash a new bios... If it's an O/S lock... get a friend, put the drive into a desktop, format drive, and find a new o/s...

However, I still say you either Pay, or give it back.

not really sure how that works...im thinking they can activate it from the office just like they deactivated it...hopefully w-2's will come in the mail soon so that i can give this piece back and get a brand new one...speaking of, anyone know of some good budget laptops for

for under 800 look into HP's, gateway's, Toshiba's. I never really got a lot of them in for repair besides for virus's.
