How is Vista expensive and XP isn't ? The XP options are usually the same price or more on laptops these days ?

$500 more on hardware ? LOL ... ~$30 more worth of RAM and one step up in CPU (~$50) ...

And you do realize that if you disable all the extras in Vista, it runs just as fast (or faster, if you have multiple cores and plenty of RAM) as XP.

And LOL about the weight ... I'm sure you carry around a boombox, an old analog brick cell phone w/ external battery, and your 17" laptop w/o any problem ...

well you need more ram, etc, some hardware is not usable in vista, and if you kill off all the "vista" in vista what's the point in vista...

I carry around a v3i, I don't carry a laptop, but I if I did it is a 17, I know it cool to have some chit box like the all too "cool" mac air, to me I rather have a more modular machine and faster machine and I like being able to drop in more ram/cpu/hdd

I have carried my 17" and slr camera bag around all day a few times, I think if someone cant handle that they need to seek medical attention.
