Ok is there any way to transfer files from one comp to another online? I lost my music on my comp from a Virrus and had to format. And my cds in my car are all scratched up. I want my brother to send me is stuff from his comp to mine is there a easy way to do it?

cant he upload it onto a web site, or email as an attachment and you save it to disk? Dont know just an idea. VOA_NIGHTMARE-> //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yourock.gif.93d527d504392657a77fa577298070a1.gif

I tried to have him do it through aol but he has to do it one at a time and I want him just to send me his whole file

I dont know much about web stuff I can do comp hardware etc, but online stuff I am learning and dont know much yet

You can send files over AIM easily, or have him set up a private FTP. I'd advise against uploading big files to YouSendIt unless he has a really fast upload speed, because large files time out a lot.

600 songs...can prally fit that on like 3 or 4 data cds. then put the cds on your computer and trasfer to "my music" or wherever. can also play the cds in your car assuming your deck can play mp3s

yea thats what i am going to do, and my deck does mp3 "-) but i got a mix of stuff but I am going to go out and get all my cds from my car and put them on my comp and I have about 300 mp3 disks all filled and i got a bunch of videos cause I was going to put the dvd player in my car but i got the good uncensored vids. That show the good stuff lol

here are two altnernate methods. do any of you have multiple hard drives? if so, copy all the music to one hard disk then connect it to yours and transfer. also, i believe you can use a crossover ethernet cable to connect two comps together with out a hub/router.
