CompTIA A+ Study?

i passed it about 7 years ago, but dont remember anything about it.
Its changed since then //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

x2 on the A+ for dummies book, best way to cram for it. But yeah if you're a working tech you really should be able to pass it without it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I recently just went and took the A+ Certification test, and failed it with a 520. You need a 700 to pass. So I guess not to bad for just walking it. What are the main parts I should study? Links would help, thanks.
I wonder what I would do on that test? How good were you with hardware before you took it?

I took a class on it in high school, it's easier now than it was when I took it, I had to memorize all the forms of SCSI and all that garbage.

A+ for dummies would be a good start, also take some practice tests online

When I took it there was all sorts of useless crap on it. I had to memorize IRQ's and shit. It's a lot easier now.

Yup interrupt requests and all that gank stuff.

and what voltage a lazer printer rail was. As well as dot matrix printer lines. oh those were the days

well it's basic, but you can't just not study it. Granted 90% of the information you learn in it isn't really useful. How many times have i needed to know how fast usb is and every kind of RAM that's ever existed...
