ok im gunna put some in my dodge. replace the 5 1/4 comp set, with a nice 6 1/2 comp. set in fiberglassed pods.. need something to keep up with the Fi's and has some good sound and low end to em..

i can get

Kenwood. Pioneer. MTX. Polk. Clarion. Rockford Fosgate.. all for about half price. brand new.

i like the sound of the mtx's and polk's... anyone else hurd any of these manufact. comp's???

im thinking of some MTX tc600's comp set...

i got a set of MTX TX6001 for 90.00
what should i set the tweet to 0db or -3 db
Whichever sounds best. Seriously. Every install is different, and every listener is different. That's why they provide an adjustment, because no one setting is best for all installs, and all listeners.

That being said, as a general rule of thumb, if the tweeters are mounted significantly closer to your head than the woofers are, then set the level to -3db. Set to 0db if you have them mounted right next to the woofers.

You can't go by the numbers, some manufacturer's are have different interpretations. Just switch it to whatever position sounds best. I would leave the crossovers out for a while until you get to know the settings. After you are sure you have them set right, then permanently install them.
