Components

I am looking for a set of components, that will be installed in kick panels for a 98 Accord. I want the least harsh set there is. I am looking to spend about $200. Also, suggestions for amps, in the price range of $50 - $100. Thanks for your help.

components: try http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/CRYCSC50S these. they are a bit more than 200, but i have heard good stuff about them. what size are your front speaker mounts? also, for the amp, just go with a 2 channel amp for your components http://thezeb.com/caraudio/us_acoustics.html. the usx 2080 is the 2 channel version of the amp i have, and they are good amps

I was thinking about using kick panels. But the front speaker mount is 6.5.

skip the kick panels and put that money into better components is my opinion. if you are looking for the most optimal sound ever //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif , then get kick panels so you cna point them in the direction that you want to.

JMac would you suggest the Crystal CSc50s's? Also, would these fit in the Q-Form pick panels?

do you know a guy who does fiberglass? or are you gonna do them yourself? or are you gonna pay a car audio place to do it?

oh, woops, I figured he was gonna have the kick panels done custom, and they are made out of fiberglass, right? I now realize he's gonna buy prefab ones or something, huh?

Yea, I plan on buying prefab one's. I don't have enough money for custom fiberglass (wish I did). I will talk to the local shops and see what they suggest for kick panels.

Any suggestions from the forum for prefab kick panels?

crystals aren't over $200 on sounddomain. with the instant domain dollar discount, its like only $120-$130 afterwards (around there). i have a crystal dealer down the streets. i got a chance to listen to the 6.5" components (silk) and they sounded great. midbass was great also. i'd put these above the infinity kappa components (not the perfects). but i do prefer the crystal tweeters (silk) over the perfect's tweeter. i like soft highs.

so there you have it..you saved about $80 or so on the crystals. now spend that extra $30 or so on custom kickpanels, save $40 for yourself, and spend the rest of that $10 on me.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
