Components or no?

I have had the speakers in my sig for about 3.5 years now, but everyone raves about how much better a nice set of comps can sound. I have heard some sets of eclipse comps at a local dealership and liked them, but I am wondering if there will really be a big difference from the diamond coaxials I currently have up front.

If I were to do this, I would probably set my budget for a set of comps at about $300. The amp can be bridged to do 140 X 2 at 4 ohms (one in my sig). I am just hoping for some honest opinions from people with experience about how much of an improvement I would notice, and what comps are regarded as high performance in this price range.

My only other question is would I be able to have my rear speakers hooked up to my deck's amp to play with the rear fill? I have never had a set of comps blasting up front so I would like to have that option to play with to see if I would like a rear fill or not.

(on a side note, I listen to mostly rap incase that alters anyones' choices about what set of comps they would recommend)

Thanks in advance, and if anyone in the NY area has experience with installing comps and would like to help, let me know!

Components alone don't make for better anything. It's all in how they are Installed, Setup and the rest.

Just look at it this way. Why would they make convertables. It just add's flexablity.
