I was looking at getting a set of component 6.5 for the rear of my 90 Accord. I have Sony 3-ways now, and I have to say that they **** balls. I was wondering if I was to get a set of components, if they would sound good running off my HU (Blaupunkt Autin 50x4). I dont really want to be running another amp for them. Can you suggest any that would sound good off HU? Thanks!

No you can not run your comps off your hu. I have the perfect comp and a panasonic 801 and tried, I got no sound. Most componets recomend at least 30 watts per speaker and i dont think any hu would get a clean 30 watt. i would recomend at least a cheap amp.

depends on what comps you get if you go with some from 50 rms and under you shouldnt have aprob if you go higher make sure it says something recomeded watts

8 to 60 (or what ever it my be)rms long as it says that you should be ok

just put some infinity ref (60rms) on my hu 27 rms and its sounds great without an amp go to a shop find some comps you like and listen to them off just a hu

lots luck

i agree with running comps off an h/u is stupid no offense to anyone. componets are meant to be nice clear noise reproduction and on 22watts rms power b/c NO h/u will give you more than 24watts rms most high end comps won't like it. get yourself like a 100watt amp that runs roughly 50rms to each channel and run them that way. i know i tried hooking my piece of crap RF comps up to my h/u with roughly 21watts rms and they sounded worse then i ever heard them sound and they always sounded like crap. out of curiosity what kind of componet's you looking into getting and why run back door componet's just run front stage off an amp that is all you truely need IMO.

Back stage honesty, produces some fill for effects. For example on Linkin Park's "Re-Annimation" CD, the songs have rolling waves of sound both bass, mid and tweet, sot here for back coomps or 3 ways are ideal. I am sure alot of CD's have really good stuff u may be missing by just having a sub or 2 for ur back stage. Just my opinion here thouhg.

actually i disagree with you on this one corsica. if you look at sound q cars all they run are comps and subs no back stage. with an eq you can fine tune your componet's and don't miss anything. i know that when i had my 600.4 running my mb 6 1/2"s in back doors and my componet's in my kicks it sounded worse than it does now with my 600.4 running just my comps with 150rms per speaker.
