Competition Re MT's

I heard they sound better than most dedicated SPL woofers. IE, they would kill the PA MOFO in an SQ competition. But really, if someone is asking for numbers and opinions of the RE MT's SPL, that classifies the asker as a n00b on more than one level. As long as you can feed it enough power, it'll tear your car apart for fun.

I knew it would tear the car apart, just looking for some insight on sq. No numbers needed I know they are loud as ****!!! Just got a jbl bpx2200.1 so I was thinking about this sub or a treo ssx or dd9515.

there are more people in DB Drag that use MT's (purchased) for SPL than any other sub out there.....plenty of companies would give out free subs, but competitors are CHOOSING to BUY MT's vs. running free subs. If that is not a testament to their power, I dont know what is.....

of course, our new line up isnt out yet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

2200 watts isn't near enough to get an MT moving unless you're doing it IB. Got some plans for a wall?

You think I should just run with the RE SX's two 12"s. The pbx2200.1 will put out around 2500w at 4 ohms according to birthsheet. I dont know anyone around me that has RE products, looking at a few others as well. Got any ideas I am talking more SPL than SQ. As long as its not a one note wonder I will be fine. I listen to rap/hip-hop so it will all be low to mid range notes.

Not true at all...i'm runnin my MT 18 off roughly 2k and it's LOUD!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif and according to RE it's their most efficient sub...with the same power it killed my DD9515 and XXX in output

Are you serious? I've been told more than once that if you want it to get an MT to outperform every other RE sub available (Side by side comparison) you need more than 2kw.

Finally someone that has one and is not trying to tell me oh 2500wrms wont be enough for a mt. Thanks for comparing it to other subs so I could get a feel. But there is probably a big difference between 15 mt and 18mt!!!! **** 18 Mt what do you have it in. Hows the SQ not to bad i hope?!! RMS rating on a mt is 2500rms right? Thanks

I have more than 2kw. I have around 2500wrms at 14.4 volts proven by birthsheet for the amp. 2498wrms on birthsheet.

Well, ok, maybe I should clarify what I was told. I don't remember who told me this, but I know I trusted their judgement.

Say you take an SX, XXX, and MT of the same size, and put them all side by side, in perfectly made flat response ported alignments. If you have less than 1400 watts, the SX will get louder than the XXX and MT. It is more efficient.

If you have more than 1400 watts but less than 2400 watts, the XXX will get louder than the SX and the MT. The SX won't handle the extra power and the XXX is more efficient than the MT.

If you have more than 2400 watts, the MT will get louder than the SX and XXX because it's lower efficiency is overcome by it higher power input.
This is what I was told. It was a long time ago, possibly obsolete by now.

Are you retarded?

That person must have also been a retard.

Anyways, I just wish people WITHOUT hands on experience would just STFU. It gets kind of old...

X2

And how would it become obsolete when the same subs are in production minus the xxx (stopped production on that model I dont understand why?!?). But regardless we want to know the truth about woofers coming from 1st hand knowledge. Thanks to those with the woofers that have answered my questions!!! Still wondering if 2 12" SXs would be better than one 15" MT with around 2500wrms? Someone with experience please!!!! Thanks Eric
