ah finally somebody who brings technical data to the table as opposed to just the rms power. Either amp will power the sub sufficiently, the 960 or whatever from the kicker may even require me to leave gains a little low, I didnt know if this was a case with two great amps that wouldnt make any noticeable difference in audible sound or not... hence the starting of this thread. Continue with opinions please

but i gotta give it to the crown technology.....definitly far superior than anything JBL makes , and is probly better then the zx. i think the crown would be right up there with the SX minus the digital controls....

I love my Px300.4, BPx1100.1 and soon BPx2200.1...absolute beauties, bullet proof, do more than rated power, not to mention the flexibility on the ohm loads...

The sx's are far superior to the zx's. Tons of onboard crossover capabilities..

OK, so would the Kicker SX 650.1 make sufficient power, and be a better choice than the JBL? I own a px300.4 right now for my germs... but, theres no saying I couldnt change it up to a 700.4.

Does the price difference play a factor at all in the decision because it looks like the JBL will run you about $100 more according to ebay

the 100 dollars is not much of an issue. I just want to make the best decision as far as quality of amp.

As much as I dislike the look of the sx amps, they are superior to most amps available to date becasue of the tuning abilities. Only a select few amps offer this much onboard tunning, zapco is one of them aswell. If you can get past the looks of the kicker sx , get it.

From the feedback your getting I would have to say you cant go wrong either way. I'm personally looking at a kicker myself because of how underrated they are but the JBL is a sexy *** amp.

Oh yea if you sway to the jbl there is one going on ebay right now for a pretty decent price.
