Yea, so I'm stuck at home this saturday night (Dad's trippin) and I was thinking bout this tonight...

I'm going to OU (Oklahoma) in the fall and was wondering what I need to be prepared for in college. I didn't think about this before, but I already have a fridge, a tv, a mac, and a xbox, is there anything else I should take that I'm not thinking about? (Besides the no brainers, clothes, bedsheets, deodorant, etc.)

I'm living in dorms first year, majoring in microbiology, since it gets most my medical school prerequisites out of the way. Plus science is about the only thing that interests me, I never knew why. I don't know who my roomate is gonna be yet, but I waited too long to send my housing application get in the good dorms, so that might ****, but I'm not worried about it, I get along with everyone and I'm a pretty popular kid. Plus, I think not being able to pick my roomate is just part of the college experience. Whatever happens, I guess I'm just gonna have to roll with it.

So yea, I'm looking for anything that would help me along in college, any advice, anythign. I didn't really think i would be going to college until this year, when I applied to OU and OSU and got into both of them. So I never really payed attention to it. I was also thinking about frats, because OU is a very greek oriented school. I'm usually not really a follower, but the idea of a botherhood sounds cool, since I'm not playing football anymore. Anyways, If you have any advice or anything for me, let me know.

theres a million different tidbits regarding all kinds of stuff...I'll give you a more serious one and that is to just commit man...i almost dropped out...almost gave up...my dad and i sat down one night and he gave me one of the biggest pieces of advice ever...my argument was "im going to be 25 or 26 when i graduate" and he told me "you're going to be 25 or 26 anyways, might as well have an education at that stage"

i know it might sound stupid, or simple...but thats the point for me...

beer, condoms, liquor for the girls. if your allowed to have laptops in class for tying up lectures while you hear them, have some games. dont bump on/around campus. dont think before you do anything, just jump in and do it. its a fresh start, you can be anyone you wanna be.
