College Question

So I'm a junior in highschool right now and realized I messed up a little in highschool. I used to get 4.0s and a high gpa every report card in middle school. Now I'm in pilot school to get my license to become a pilot after college. That's where the problem is. I understand everything in school and ace all of my tests but rarely did homework:crap:. My GPA is 2.75 in highschool but I can easily get 4.0s again and I know I am going to do that my last 3 semesters in high school. I wanna go into WWU after highschool but will they let me in with a somewhat low gpa if they see I turned around and did all of my work and got my pilots license planning for the future?
WWU isn't that hard of a college to get into.

Study for your SAT's and try very hard on your essay and you'll be accepted.

But if you want easy acception look into WSU.

Holy shit the app took me 15 minutes!

Yeah that school is really easy to get into from what I have heard. That would be a last resort for me for a year but I wanna try to stay away from doing that.

ur goin to western? i just got accepted...i have a 2.75 gpa too..1890 on my sat's and almost no extra currics
i really want to go to gonzaga, but western is probably #2, all my friends are probably going to go there so I like that one better.

3.5 here, but i only got a 1750 on the SAT. ****ing writing did it in for me, I barely got above 500 on it. I also thought that you got knocked off less for the ones you answered incorrectly instead of left blank.

I was wrong.

still waiting for wsu and ubc...luckily colleges in the area have a high acceptance rate from my high school. so despite my low grades i still have a good shot at good colleges.

as long as you answer the 7 questions coherently on the WSU app you should get in fine.

I barely made the UW deadline. I got my app done on the 10th and it was due on 15th.

I graduated from WWU in 06. It wasn't tough for me to get into, however that was cause I was local and had a 3.4. They're more lenient to locals. Good luck. It isn't as easy to get into as you've heard. Do well on your SAT and you should be OK though. Especially if you bump up the GPA in the last couple of quarters.

Bellingham is a nice place to live too. Less than 2 hours from both Vancouver and Seattle. Mountains close by (4 ski hills within a 2 hr drive) lakes, ocean. Love it here.

What do you plan on studying up here?
