Did you know that a Great Horned Owl is a keystone species?

Its realized niche is greater than most other species due to its lack of predators.

Sink/source populations really do not have an effect on Great Horned Owls due to their habitat distribution and low densities.

Great horned owls are also heterotrophs. They are also excellent optimal foragers.
