coaxial repair, how do I do this?

A buddy of mine gave me a pair of his kicker ds 6.5's for free, I just have to fix where a local shop cut the tinsel wire to the tweeter (I guess that's what it's called), could I just soulder it back? Shrink tube? Thanks in advance guys

try to solder them, otherwise throw em out and buy a new pair...

Why the hell would a shop do that?....

Soldering them and then heatshrinking the wire is best if you can. If you can't shrink it, solder should work on its own.
