Alright everyone, I've had my 02 Explorer for about 3 months now and I've finally got the money to put my system in. I know nothing about car audio. I need some help.

I know that my dash has 6x8 slots for speakers. I need anyone who's willing to help to give me some advice on what to put in- Amp, Subs, Deck, Speakers. I want a lot of rumble but I don't want to spend a fortune. I'm willing to open up the wallett some tho. Who can help me???

are you going for an sq system or spl? and posting a budget would help, as well as if you plan on spending the money to upgrade the charging system. size of subs, how many also. check your pm while your at it.

I'm not sure what you mean by sq or spl. Like I said, I don't know much at all, but I want it to sound good and bump. I'm thinkin 12" subs. Say I'm willing to spend like $800-$1,000

sq is sound quality. spl basically just loud with little/no sq. sounds like you want a good sql system. so is that budget for everything (subs, amps, speakers, hu, etc.)? check up top at your pm's to.

Yea i def want the sound quality. And yea i'm thinking around $800 for everything but the deck. The deck is the only thing that I have bought yet. It's a Pioneer and I believe the model is P4800MP. I put it in my old LeSabre about 8 months ago before I got my Explorer. Then i moved it into my explorer. So yea 800 for everything else.
