lookin to get a super cheap amp to run my SE for awhile. think running a little 300 watter with the gain all the way up will cook the amp. i use to run a 600 watt Mobile Authority amp to my RE HC with the gain all the way up with 0 problems but just wonderin what yall think

Profiles got a 300 watter (at 2 ohms) for $49, thinkin about snatchin it

thanks

SE's should have no problem dealing with a 300w profile regardless of the gain setting.

But FWIW - turning the gain past where it SHOULD be set doesn't get you more output from your sub, it just gets degrades your SQ.

any chance it will burn up the amp if i do run it with the gain all the way up

im not worried about the sub

Spend a little more and go to the 600 or 1000, The Profile amps are great but that rating is in Peak.
it says 300 @ 2 ohms, rms....
