Clicking Noise from Speaker?

I just installed a set of Kicker Resolution components and hooked them up to a MTX404 amp.

Sometimes i hear like a really loud clicking noise from the speaker.

My friend says its my Nextel and it happens to his computuer speakers..

Did i maybe screw up the polarity somewhere?

If the clicking is happening on bass peaks, it's because there's too much power at low frequencies going to the speakers. Either turn down the amp gain or set the hipass frequency a bit higher.

my speakers do that too. About every hour ill hear 3 clicks, if im gettig a call my speakers will start buzzing like mad.

No.. I have a Nokia with AT&T. If you are using the 2 way function it will also cause interferance. The building guys here at work use 2 way radios and when they walk by talking on the radios our speakers go crazy. Kind of annoying.

I just think its weird my Kicker Comps do it and my old Rockford 2 ways didnt.

I used to know a kid whose cell phone interfered with his system severely...if you sat in the back and put the phone on the seat, you could get his subs to move by moving the phone around....we used to do it all the time and make beats. Fun stuff. :thumbs_up

That sounds more like amp gain / hipass problem then. Do you have your amp set in hipass mode?

My rockfords werent amped for the record.
