How do I get the baked on brake dust off???? 00 steel wool? I tried scrubbing the hell out of them, but no change!

don't use 00. use 0000 steel wool if you have to. 0000 steel wool and dawn dishwashing liguid works fine on mine.

yep. that works too. avoid getting it on the paint.

you what what works pretty good. bleche white tire cleaner. great for tires and if you spray it on your rim and let it sit, then spray again. my brake dust wiped right off.

i use armor all wheel clear, then tire clearer, let it sit for about 5 mins, cleans right up

Mothers (Aluminum / chrome) polish?

Its something like that, you can get it from a local autoparts shop.

I used it on my exhaust, wheels, bumper on my sisters truck to make everything look brand new.

My wheels were caked on with brake dust. It took a while, but it eventually came off.

Those are painted wheels. Don't use anything abrasive!! I would suggest Poorboy's Wheel Cleaner.

grease lighting! shouldnt hurt those rims but dont use it on chrome. And watch out for the paint...it will work wonders on grease and such

Durr, what they looked like before he drove, and after he drove. Showing the amount of brake dust accumulated from driving.

Anyway, a good wheel cleaner and a little agitation goes a long way.
