Got a new Mercedes Benz CLK 320. I'm looking to install a system. I'm not looking for something that will shatter peoples car at red-lights. I'm wanting a ten, or maby 2 tens, that will sound good inside the car, and have really good quality bass. How about (1) RE 10" ?

Well, I have a TC-1000 10''... i'm building my box for it tomorrow. About 2 cubes @ 32hz and i'm also going to have a sealed box built to compare the two. Send me a PM and i'll keep in touch... or you can reach me at AIM... biabia322

I used to have two audiobahn AW1006T's each with a cub of air to itself. Despite audiobahns bad rap, this 10" flame Q sub was the one out of thier three sizes which performed the best in a sealed box. Even with so little air, this 10 played very low notes, and it was almost indestructable. The little aliminum cone was so rigid and the woofer moves about 1 1/2 inches peak to peak so it slamed while extended into the low frequencys. For what you pay for it and its solid design, output, and rated frequency responce to 23 Hz and 18mm Xmax, it was my all time favorite 10.

Man, I ordered an RE RE 10. I built the box the other day. I'm waiting for the woofer to come in. Once it's in I could let you hear it if you were in the central ark at any time.

i dont know about the newer ones, but the old benz have the gas tank right behind the rear seat and that muffles a lot of output inside the car. but then if your running 1000 watts to one sub youll probably be more than fine

these will all be great but you will still rattle stuff outside the car esspecially with the windows down... i'd consider dynamat, or comparable sound deadening material, it will make the music stay inside the car more and make the acoustics of your car waaaay better= cleaner sounding bass, alot of distortion in the bass is sometimes caused by stuff inside the car or trunk rattleing
