Clean power

Anyone have a recommendation for a very clean sounding amp and sub combo, i'm looking to get 1 12" sub, i wanted to get the ppi dcx1500.1, but i figure thats too much power for 1 sub and then i'll need to alter my alternator and get a capacitor, please give me some options, money is not a factor... Give me a few ranges of price fields, thanks guys....

I was thinking spending a total of about 600 for the amp and the sub.... I'm not competing, i just want it to sound very clean.... If you think 600 is not enough let me know...

no i just don't think theres a need for a that amp for a single sub...too much juice...

I think you would love it. There is always a Hifonics or PG.

The best thing to do would be to pick a sub, whether you want SQ or SPL and then a matching amp to power it.

maybe you should not take quotes out of context. he's looking for "clean sounding amp and sub combo" which is a very reasonable question.

I could suggest the Infinity Kappa 12” (I have the 10”). Very good SQ with some SPL in a sealed box (small box dimensions too, 1 cubic foot). Read reviews at

This and a 400 to 600 watt amp would be good (JBL 600.1).

This stuff would easily be under the $600 mark. So maybe it’s to low end for you.
