Clarion VZ400 E-Brake Bypass

Does anyone know if i need to wire directly to a ground or do i need some sort of toggle switch setup or is there a completely different way of doing this?

They intended for you to have to set the parking bark , release it and have to set it again to view the screen , to ensure you were sittting still , ground the parking bark wire and put a toggle switch in between and then turn it on then off then on again, and the screen should pop up in a second or two.
