Clarion VRX765 parking break cancel?

i just bought a new Clarion VRX765vd in dash dvd player and installed it. I grounded the green wire to the chasis that is supposed to go to the parking break ground wire in hopes of this allowing video while driving and it didn't work! I have done this with previous indash car tvs with no problem! Does anyone have any ideas on how to allow tv viewing while driving with this unit. Where should I run the ground or is there a switch I need to install that will cancel this out. Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

they are ment to be wired to the handbreak sensor right? so wouldnt the mean it need 12V??????

Ok so on this model it is easy peasy! It works.

1 - 2 prong toggle switch - $1.49 at wal-mart

1 foot of extra black ground wire - 10 cents

4 spade connects - 10 cents

1 - swith of the toggle - free (1 calorie expended)

watching dvd's and tv while I drive priceless

Run the green break wire to accesory spade on the toggle, run the black wire to ground off the other toggle. Switch the toggle back to off when your car shuts off and its just one switch of the toggle and your off!
