Okay, well I finally convinced my wife to let me upgrade our '03 Navigator. It doesn't have the OEM navigation nor the rear dvd. No biggy to me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif It soon will. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So, I was thinking of how would the overall sound be compared to the factory setup (which sounds great IMO) if I only swap the OEM deck to a Clarion MAX675VD? Would the factory amp and all the speakers still work as great with the factory deck?

Here is a link to the deck I am going to get...

Otherwise, if I would be better off getting all new speakers and an amp, then I would probably do something simple. If I change everything, then I would just add a component set to the front and rear doors along with a 4-ch amp.

I am not sure how a mono amp would sound on a single 8 in the OEM location. Maybe I could just get a custom enclosure for like 2 10's or 2 12's to fit the side.

Any ideas? If the sound would still be great from the factory setup by still using the Clarion MAX675VD deck, then that's what I would do.

Go with the MAX675 and you will have far more option do the road. You can upgrade your speakers later if you want to....I'll be upgradeing my Clarion VRX815 7" flipout to the MAX675 very soon....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif :D //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
