Hey guys

I have a clarion head unit, model number dxz676USB but you may know it as the dxz675usb.

I am aware that you can connect a ea1276 to use my ipod on it, but i dont want to pay $200 for it.

Is there any other way i can connect my ipod? It says that the red cables are for auxiliary input, but i plug a cable in and connect it to my ipod and nothing. Any ideas?

Much appreciated

Does this headunit have an AUX input that uses RCA connectors? If so, use a 3.5mm jack to RCA adapter and hook up the RCA connectors in the AUX input, and the 3.5mm jack (Headphone jack) into the headphone jack on the Ipod.

EDIT : I should have read it over better. Stupid question, but have you put it on the AUX setting on the head unit?

No, I do not personally have one, but I have used a similar clarion product. Do you have an external amplifier with RCA inputs? If so, hook the RCA adapter up to the amplifier, and see if it produces any sound.

im in australia, and it doesnt take that one, only the 1276. They arent compatible unfortunately //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.

I can remove the amp for my rear speakes, and it will play fine through the front ones, but the sub doesnt work than. And sounds crap.
