Clarion Error Message.. Tel?

touched the speaker wires together when radio was on, now "Tel" message comes up and nothing else..any thoughts?

'Tel' ? As in telephone? Doesn't Clarion have that auto-mute when you receive a carphone call?

From what I can remember, there should be a pink/brown/orange bundle on your harness that has a connector on the end - have you hooked this up to anything?

those were my thoughts, but no definitely didn't hook it up to anything, radio was working great until I tried to hook up some new speakers..then.. "tel"

Have you tried resetting the unit?

I imagine that the user manual doesn't give a description of what 'tel' means.

don't have the user manual, wish I did. Not sure how to reset the radio, can't find a reset button and I disconnected completely from the boat for about an hour and reconnected it with no luck.

check your speaker wires, maybe you got the telephone mute hooked up to a speaker and it will go into mute.
