Clarion DXZ955MC not recognizing iPod interface

I got the iPod interface (EA1251B) for my Clarion deck, but it won't recognize that it's there. I know I have the correct model, mainly because it's the only one Clarion makes. It matches with the description on their website.

The only thing that makes me wonder is if Clarion added iPod capability like halfway through the model year or something, because the website has iPod compatability written all over it, but the HU doesn't have any iPod ready decals and the manual doesn't say anything...

Help?

Well I busted out the DMM and didn't get anything over 2.5v to the interface. I guess thats my problem //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Bad cable maybe?

bump. I went and tested the cable today. all the strands in the cable are good... I tested them with my multimeter. I still get only 2.5v at the highest, though. Any thoughts?

beats me but thats a kickass head unit eh?

just wondering how do you run yours for the initial startup settings, normal, 2 way or 3 way? assuming you dont screw with dolby. i haven't been able to figure out how to adjust time alignment under the normal setting, but thats the only way i can get it to play through a 2 channel into my 2 way components in the doors (all i have for highs)
