Clarion DXZ665MP

Well, I sold a Clarion DXZ665MP head unit to my friend yesterday. Everything worked fine right up to the point when i uninstalled it like 6 months ago. He installed it today and says it wont read any cd's, sounds like it tries to but just won't read them at all. Any idea what it could be? Everything else works just fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe some of the mouting hardware is screwed in to tight.

Take it out of the dash while leaving it wired and try to play it then.
